The panel needed to function as a visual interface, a backlit display and control panel, meaning every ink layer had to meet tight opacity tolerances - blocking light where required while allowing controlled transmission through symbol areas. Multi-pass registration accuracy was critical across the full batch of 2500 units, with zero tolerance for misalignment between layers. The finished print also had to withstand daily mechanical contact and a temperature range of -30°C to +100°C.
Teletek Electronics is a Bulgarian manufacturer of professional security. The project involved the production of 2500 identical touch screen display panels for one of their alarm keypad units. -a component requiring precise multi-layer screen printing on a polycarbonate substrate with strict backlight and durability requirements.
Process:
Four print passes were execute on an ATMA TP 45 flat-bed screen printing press. Yango cleaning system was used in between passes to maintain screen integrity, dust free print and better print quality. A custom inline production line ensured consistent substrate handling and throughput precision throughout the run. Each stage- logo, interface symbols, opacity layer and transparent overprint – was proof-checked before batch approval.
